[yellow tail] Cabernet Sauvignon

Bought this one at my local RiteAid, on sale for $6.99/bottle. It's a 2008 with the following flavors: blackberries, chocolate & vanilla.

[yellow tail] is everything a great wine should be. It's approachable, fresh, flavorsome and has a personality all of its own.

Hmmm...this one was quite tasty initially then the overwhelmingly "berry" flavor was too much for me, not loving it so much now. I think I need to finish the 2nd half of the bottle and report back.

Finished 'er off and same effect. First sips are very good then it's a bit much. Great for wine-tasting, not so great for continued drinking.

  1. Oh, like the color change. Very vibrant and emotional! Mmmmm.... I've had better inexpensive wines but it's not horrendous. Enjoy!

  3. Phil,

I was going to comment on the Cab first but I saw your picture and WOW! You're a VERY attractive man! (Cute cat, too, although blurry picture.) Mmmmm... okay so onto the wine: it's good to know that you're barreling through the entire bottle for the sake of your followers. Sorry the fruitiness soured the experience for you. I guess I'll stay away from this Cab. I prefer mine to be a bit stronger than the Merlots or Pinots - they can be a medium taste. I like my Cabs (and my men) STRONG!!!
